Ghana is an African country in subsaharan West Africa. It is one of the few former British colonies in West Africa amidst an ocean of francophone countries (Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin and more). Ghana is also a showcase of a succesful civil society and relatively stable economic development. Since gaining its independence in 1957 Ghana has been through a number up social, economical and political changes, but has since the mid-90′s prospered and developed into one of the region’s most democratic country. During the Ghana Study Trip you can explore change in action (for better and for worse), so whether your interests are environmental or development studies, or you just need another adventure in great company, then don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to get connected to local organizations and individuals, some of which are former IPC students and teachers.
* (Payment for the trip is in addition to the regular tuition fee, and includes plane tickets, accommodation, meals, basic travel insurance, travelling in Ghana and various entry fees, but DOES NOT INCLUDE: Vaccinations required to enter Ghana, Malaria Tablets, etc.).
