MA in History and Danish Literature; post graduate research fellowship, university of Copenhagen; teacher at a Danish Gymnasium; National co-ordinator for The International Year of Peace 1986, Development Information Officer (Danish United Nations Association); Director of International Programmes (Save the Children Fund). Principal at IPC since 1991. Articles in professional journals in Denmark and abroad on philosophy of history, relations between ecological and social instability in history and issues in contemporary history. Editor of books on national stereotypes in world history and on World Bank policies in developing countries. Married to Vibeke and have a son, Jeppe. Hobbies: opera, Danish design, excursions on bike to historical sites. Extensive travelling in Asia, Latin America and Africa.
