Wael Allagui

Best experiences in my life - so far!

Wael Allagui, Tunisia

For me IPC is a great experience. It changed a lot in my personality. I am now a much more social person and I can express my opinion freely. Moreover my English has advanced very much since I came here. But what is most important is that I gained new friends and had new relationships with people from all over the world. I really like the classes here; they are rich with new information that I could never find somewhere else. Teachers here are very nice and devoted to their work which makes the classes very interesting and fun to attend. One more important thing is that you can never get bored here… people are very fun to be with and I will never forget the awesome parties we have here. Being in IPC is definitely one of the best experiences in my life so far!

Anisa Zaimi

My reality dream.

Anisa Zaimi, Albania

IPC? – Yes, I can say it in a loud voice - is my reality dream. It was my first experience abroad of my country and I was so happy that this experience was in IPC. I feel that it is a place where you feel yourself and - absolutely - your creative spirit comes out. And I didn’t know that someday I could play drama!:-) I had the opportunities to meet other people and to learn everything about their culture. Time is running out and you feel a lot of energy inside you! You always have to learn something interesting and worthy. When one day I will write my IPC diary probably I would say: WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD!!

Shaden Kanboura

I have visited most of the world by being in IPC.

Shaden Kanboura, Israel

I was asked to describe my life in IPC so far. And frankly I don’t know where to begin! It is such a good experience and with no doubt the best time I ever had in my life. People here are so different from each other which makes life here so interesting. Everyday I learn many new things about the world I live in and I like it a bit more with every new piece of information I get. I simply love the people and I will never forget the good time we had - in parties, coffee mixes or just sitting and chatting in the student kitchen! I am definitely a better English speaker now and a much, much better pool player! Classes in IPC are very different from classes I used to have in school back home. Teachers are always fun to listen to, they certainly know how to do their job without being too bossy and formal! I can’t afford traveling all over the world, but I can say that I have visited most of it by being in IPC. I have met the people. I have seen the cultures. I have heard the language and seen the landscapes! Dealing with new and different people and cultures is not hard any more!

Richard Kangethe

Meet the world and exchange knowledge.

Richard Kangethe, Kenya

Hi IPC is the place to meet the world and exchange knowledge, make friends and have fun as well. To get friends from all over the world and to see so many different smiles. Long walks and talks with so many interesting people. In IPC no one can help everyone but everyone can help someone. Richi

Katia Mifsud.

Got blown away by this experience.

Katia Mifsud., Malta

IPC is a great way to learn about people, different ideas and ways of life - but mostly it teaches you about yourself. Here at IPC you can grow surrounded by wonderful teachers, new friends and an amazing atmosphere. You will be blown away by this experience, which will surely be one you'll remember all your life. Here you have the freedom to express yourself and to be yourself. I have learnt to be tolerant and more accepting towards all different kinds of people. I can promise, that you'll never regret coming here and you'll go back home a new person with fresh ideas and good memories.

Nami Urano

I can be myself.

Nami Urano, Japan

For me - IPC is growing to be very special place everyday. At first, I’ve heard about this school from one of my friends and I got interested. I don’t know why, but there are quite a lot of Japanese here. Most of us are surprised in the beginning and we also find out that we are the slowest English speakers including me (Of course not everyone but generally). However even if it is hard to communicate with people from all around the world in English in the beginning, I don’t think that communication is only the verbal thing, because I can actually feel it now. After I came here, I got to know that it is not so difficult to be friends with people who have totally different cultures. IPC is a very comfortable place for me even though I still have the difficulty of language. I feel like I can be myself here without pretending to be nice or hiding my real feelings and also everyone accept that.

Mirta

Loved this mixture of cultures

Mirta, Slovenia

It was a really good experience, I really loved this mixture of cultures that IPC presented us. It was also a good break between my study and the labor market where I can use what I’ve learnt here. Now I can see how the Danish folk high school system, which I studied a lot about, works. Here I really found out what I want to do in the future and this is to care for painting and photography. I’ve found very good teachers who encouraged me to develop my talent in these areas and the school also gave me the resources to improve it. IPC helped me to change my attitude not just to wish for this goal but to reach it. I think I’ve found myself here.

Phong

let’s enjoy the PARTEEE

Phong, Vietnam

IPC life means a lot to me. It gave me so many chances to meet people from around the world and somehow I also have life experiences from them. My English also improved a lot. I had so many opportunities to get to know a lot of nations and I learnt some words in the different languages. I think that in the future the experience at IPC will help me to work in the international environment. IPC is one of the most important periods of my life. I will never forget the time I had here. Finally, let’s enjoy the PARTEEE……Y!

Liat

I am much more open

Liat, Israel

I think I have changed a lot. I am much more open to others’ mentalities and different cultures. Before IPC I always hated schools, I never believed in their system and IPC has been the first school that I enjoyed. I’ve got many friends from all over the world and that is so unique to me, because I don’t know anyone home who has so many friends from all over the world. I really enjoyed all the conversations I had with people here for example on the smokers’ balcony. I think you can learn more about the world from people here than just by reading information in books.

Zoltan

I learnt a lot about many countries

Zoltan, Hungary

I came here to learn something about Denmark but now I learnt a lot about many countries and nations. I had never been away for more than two weeks from my home country before, but now I know how to live abroad together with people with different habits and ways of thinking. Now I know that you can’t believe in the stereotypes. We’ve learnt how to understand the different English pronunciation and how to communicate with each other easily in this special ‘IPC English’. I really liked that during the many conversations we picked up some words in other languages; for example how to say ‘cheers’ or ‘I love you’. I got to know a lot of people and I’ve found friends whom I had a lot of fun with and whom I’ll never forget.

Xanda

View of the world changed

Xanda, Brazil

After I came here, my point of view of the world changed. The world became smaller. For example before IPC when I thought of Africa, it was just a name, but now this name has faces and more meaning, it means people or friends that you care about. When I came here first as a student, everything was new and strange. I could realize very early, that this life is not like the daily life at home. To come here again as a teacher was a kind of challenge, how to teach people with such different cultural backgrounds. One of the best things here is to make friends with so many different kinds of people; some of them will remain for the whole life.

Chemi

IPC is extraordinary

Chemi, Tibet

Life at IPC is extraordinary, incredible and fun too. I can feel so many changes in my attitude; I learnt how other people think about life. Besides, all activities were encouraging and inspiring. Students are friendly, funny and sometimes strange. I feel my life can never be better than life at IPC. I came here as a stranger and now I am leaving as a friend, with a bunch of wonderful memories and inspiring experiences. Now my bag is full of dreams I dreamt at IPC.

Li Can

It is like a big reality show

Li Can, China

IPC means a lot of people from different cultures for me. But the result of this mixture is a special IPC culture with special habits and language. For example our common language is the English with some Japanese ‘ohayo’ or Hungarian ‘egeszsegedre’ or Chinese ‘xiexie’. IPC life is not so fast like at home; it is more relaxed. Maybe this is the reason that sometimes I feel that life here is boring but it’s also full of surprises, for example somebody coming and telling me a nice story. At IPC there isn’t any secret, it is like a big reality show without cameras.

Frederik

More sociable person

Frederik, Denmark

IPC has meant a lot to me. I’ve changed; I became a more sociable person than I was before. I am happy about everything that I’ve learnt here. I’ve got to know a lot of cultures and also I’ve learnt a lot about my own culture. IPC also means friendship. When I came here I decided to try to make friends with everybody, and I think I managed to get on well with everybody. I really liked the atmosphere here, 60 people in one house and life is going like in the normal life. Sometimes people are sad, sometimes they are happy and it is also natural that everybody knows if something interesting happens here.

Boryana

I’ve changed a lot

Boryana, Bulgaria

I feel I’ve changed a lot, I can’t realize how exactly but I’m not the same person as before. I also changed my stereotypes of the people, especially of the Asian and African people because I didn’t have any experience with them before. So don’t create stereotypes before you speak with them. This college was also about presentation skills. I was very shy and embarrassed about this before, but here I’ve learnt how to present myself in front of an audience not in my mother tongue. I liked very much this atmosphere that people created here.

Ayako

Changed my life values

Ayako, Japan

IPC life has changed my life values. For example before I came to IPC, I thought that if I had money and time, I should buy something that would make me seem a gorgeous woman such as clothes, accessories or something else. Maybe it was more important to think about appearance than to think about who I was. But now I feel I have changed. I save money in order to see you all again, and spend time reading books in order to gain more understanding. For example Hungarian history and culture. For me it was really important to behave or feel the same as everyone else. So now I have found my values!

Nina

I have changed a lot

Nina, Germany

Before I came here I was very shy, but now I can socialize with everybody. I have found friends from many different countries and cultures. Some of them will stay my friends for a lifetime and we can visit each other all over the world. I learnt here how to express myself in many different ways, for example how to make movies, and I gained more stage experience in the creative classes.

Sayaka

Global friends

Sayaka, Japan

Before I came here I hadn’t had any friends outside of Japan and now I know a lot of people from everywhere, you can make friends with everybody; it doesn’t matter where they are from. I can see many possibilities to use the knowledge that I’ve gained here. I’ve realized what I really want to do in my life and that is teaching while working with international people. It is also very interesting that this is my second term here, and I can see that the buildings, rooms and neighborhood are the same but students are completely different and that gives another atmosphere to the place. IPC is a very rich place of humans; it isn’t so easy to catch such a rich place; but how to use this place and how to enjoy it, it’s up to you.
