Every summer we welcome students from all over the world for an intensive three-week course combining Danish language instruction on all levels, workshops, lectures, excursions and lots of fun - all about Denmark!

Course Characteristics:
  • Intensive Danish language tuition from beginners to advanced, tailored to small groups (10-15 students) at all levels. Daily classes totalling 55 hours in the three weeks.
  • Danish culture and society introduced via lectures, films, literature and local excursions. Lectures will be given both in Danish and English.
  • You will compose your own timetable for the afternoons and evenings according to your interests and abilities:
    a) Lecture series where you can study several subjects in depth, for example Danish art and design, film and literature.
    b) Workshops on Danish grammar, phonetics, pronunciation, syntax and the historical development of the Danish language.
  • Certificate is issued after completing the requirements of the course.
  • Excellent food prepared by international kitchen staff that focuses on quality, nutrition and the use of fresh ingredients.
  • An open, social and international milieu where cultures mingle.
  • Every year we invite a well known Danish writer or poet to give a lecture for our students.


Excursions - highlights of the region

The course fee includes two full day excursions - the first one is going to take you on a tour of North Zealand and the second one to the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen. Within easy reach from IPC you can visit the most spectacular art museum of Northern Europe, Louisiana; the home and museum of Karen Blixen; the cities of Roskilde and Copenhagen; the paradise of the hippies, Christiania, and other sights of your particular interest.
